With new technologies and new solutions being introduced every day, the world of computer science has expanded exponentially. In the field of Mathematics, this ever-growing domain is of great importance, especially since there is a lot of overlap between the two disciplines. Data analytics has bridged the gap between theoretical solutions and real-time systems resulting in more improved skillset and ingenuity of the overall design process. Statistics and probability have several applications that benefit from intelligent computational methodologies and data analytics to process large amounts of data, thereby maximizing efficiency. Applied mathematics is the backbone in multiple computational algorithms designed to solve real world problems, from communication services to insurance to aerospace systems. Applied mathematics enhances decision making abilities and is therefore used widely in intelligent systems. Prediction algorithms, machine learning applications are some places where applied mathematics integrated with data analytics and intelligent computing has made a difference. Several principles of applied mathematics are deeply rooted in neural networks which has been employed in countless IoT systems to facilitate smart applications that are capable of making decisions based on the data available. Data analytics and intelligent computation allow for the data to be processed and applied mathematics are also involved with this decision-making process.
