Long title

INNOVATIONS INVOLVED IN MATHEMATICAL METHODS ON OPERATIONS RESEARCH

Acronym

IIMMOR

Short description

Operational research is a key tool of modern management that is used to solve a wide range of business problems. It is viewed as a science focused on applying mathematical modeling and analysis to help decision-making. As businesses become global, their environments and processes grow in size and complexity, creating a need for organizations to incorporate numerical analyses in order to make informed decisions that were once based, essentially, on management intuition. The use of methods and techniques based on OR provides benefits such as effective and informed decisions, better coordination, improved control, and, as a consequence, an increase in productivity and/or efficiency. In the last few years, the capability of OR has been demonstrated due to its implementation in computer-based tools. The intention towards this Special Issue is to bring together recent progress and innovations involved in mathematical methods on operation research, which include, but are not limited to:

  • Operational research
  • Differential equations
  • Optimization models
  • Decision theory
  • Stochastic models
  • Mathematical models
  • Management
  • Measurement models
  • Scientific computation
  • Asymptotic analysis
  • Control theory
  • Optimization
